Our Venue
The jam this year is being held in the Deer Park Hotel in the village of Howth (rhymes with 'both') which lies on the north-most point of Dublin Bay. The hotel is a friendly place with plenty of beautiful walks and amenities nearby. It was build in the 70's in the grounds of Howth Castle and has great views looking northwards to "Ireland's Eye" and "Lambay" islands or down over Dublin city in the other direction. Here's a webcam at Howth Yacht Club showing the view from the harbour. This is where I get to go sailing each summer.
The accommodation price is €165.00 Euro per person sharing (including VAT) and includes the following :
Friday
|
Saturday
|
Sunday
|
And you have use of the hotel's swimming pool etc. If you need a private room (1 person 1 room), there is an extra charge of €15 Euro per night. The venue is approximately 9 miles from Dublin Airport and about the same distance from Dublin City centre.
The venue will require €25 deposit per person sometime in 2011 to secure a room, the balance can be paid on arrival. But apart from that there's nothing to pay in advance. I will confirm the latest date that deposits can be paid shortly. So if you are interested please let me know or use the 'Email Dublin Jam' tab to book.
If anyone is travelling a long way and wishes to stay longer than 2 nights (either before or after the weekend), I'm sure the venue can accomodate you, seeing as it's November they have great rates.
Alternatively, email me direct : [email protected] for more info.
