About the Jam
Following on in the footsteps and the great successes of Sheffield 2008, Kiel 2009 and Newcastle 2010, we look forward to meeting again in Dublin in 2011. The venue is the Deer Park Hotel in Howth. We welcome musicians of all levels (and their roadies) for a weekend of jamming, learning and general all-round good company.
There is no charge to attend the jam or any sessions and we can help with any accommodation arrangements. We have negotiated an accommodation and food package with the venue for those who will be staying at the venue. The accommodation package includes bed / full Irish breakfast / lunch and dinners in the evening with Tea / Coffee etc available. (Still negotiating over the biscuits).
The venue has a variety of rooms available to us for jamming and practice in a relaxing quiet environment. If you get bored listening to banjos you can go for a swim or sauna in the hotel or escape to Dublin City centre and help the Irish economy with some retail therapy.
The weekend starts on the afternoon of Friday 11th November 2011 and concludes on Sunday 13th after lunch.
